Wow, what memories you have brought back to me, I was one of the summer gang, factory fortnight (July) for many years and the only reason we used to return was because I would sulk and drive my parents mad unless we returned, they cancelled many a holiday abroad to bring me to Seashore and the reason why was the friends I made and who returned year after year like me, we kept in touch for years, we met when I was 14 at the segull club and I am now 36 and still intouch with a fair few, As I grew up from the segull club to the mermaid and the the follies, Who remembers "Stretch" !!!.. My last return as a single girl was 1992. my most favourt years when I was old enough to get into BOOGIES!! disco was 1986, 87, 88. **1987** was the best ever!!!. (Mr Mat Hicks!). Lots of Love to old gang and any one who on here may remember me!!. (Oh, remember me binns??)

I haven't been back recently, as I reside in America, so I don't know what the place would look like now...But, it probably would be worth looking into!!.
not good now its filthy and run down and would never go back again

They have just spent £1m on the limelight club I wouldnt have recognised the place. Seashore was a fun park with the best GM I ever saw at work. Late 80s early 1990s. It was Havens customer care park of the year in 90,91 92 93 94. Long before the days of Funworks and all that crap.

I've only been to Primrose Valley (to see the last remains of the old Butlins) and to Hafen Y Mor (Pwllheli).

Of the two, I personally prefer Pwllheli, simply because there's a lot more of the old Butlins still there.

Primrose Valley does look like a pretty good camp in its own way though, although I was surprised that there is no control over who enters the camp (no gate or security hut, you can just drive in via several roads). Sort of detracts from the feeling of being in an exclusive resort really. Lots of great facilities there though so its good to see that, in a very real way, Butlins Filey lives on at Haven Primrose Valley!

well i got back from hafan y mor and i was totally shocked about how lovely it was and clean and tidy after so many bad reports. are room was fantastic and even had new towels on each bed and a welcome set of tea coffee sugar and milk. we were right by all the ammenities and as close as you can get to the afron restaraunt. the kids loved it so much we booked a two week holiday next year in a caravan as i prefer to cook myself. it was a great bargain 400 for september so i snapped it up. still love skegness and im back there in july for 11 days in a caravan so cant wait. as a family we just love going away and spending time together and every holiday we make the most even if we wouldnt return to the place again. life is far too short to complain
