One of the most inspirational songs ever (in my humble opinion) is The Impossible Dream. It has been performed by several artists (Andy Williams and Matt Monro, to name but two) and appeared in the film Man of La Mancha (which starred Peter O’Toole). Another inspirational song is You’ll Never Walk Alone, if you can listen to it without visualising hordes of Liverpool supporters singing it on The Kop. The original version (before Gerry and The Pacemakers) is also from a film, Carousel.

As for songs that make me feel good (as opposed to inspiring me) I would have to include probably my all time favourite song, Summer Breeze by The Isley Brothers. This song really does have it all, great melody, great lyrics, amazing lead guitar, and it makes me think of summer (no bad thing at the moment!). Another song that makes me feel good is Gerry Rafferty’s Baker Street, if only for that amazing saxophone.

Hope this helps.

You could try two rainbow songs - Somewhere over the Rainbow and I can sing a rainbow or If you wish upon a star

If you knew these Charlie they would be sure to cheer you up!!

"It's a Hap-Hap Happy Day"..Gonna chase your blues away!!
"Grandma's Arm Chair"..How they tittered how they chaffed, how me brothers and me sisters laughed, when they heard the lawyers declare 'Grandma had left me her old arm chair!' (It turned out that all her savings were in it!!)
"Pedro the Fisherman is always Whistling."
Songs in those days were made to cheer you up and make you laugh!!
I am afraid I don't know about the modern ones.. Rocky.
